The Severn Tree Trust is an association for all those interested in trees.
Although our main area of activity is Mid-Wales and the Border counties our activities are centred on Shrewsbury, however we have members in all parts of the UK.
We are an entirely independant organisation and our members range from amateur tree enthusiasts to those professionally involved in trees.
Benefits of Membership
- We have a full programme of events throughout the year.
- In spring and summer, we hold a visit each month to an arboretum or a garden with an emphasis on trees.
- In the autum and winter months we have a range of talks about trees and associated topics.
- Our principle planting season is from November to March when we plant thoughout our main area using bareroot stock. However, we can plant during the rest of the year, if so wished, using container -grown trees.
- We have a corporate woodland – Donnerville Spinney – in Telford where there are trees planted with monies raised by the group from local businesses.
- A monthly Newsletter includes matters of tree interest with details of our talks and visits.
- Members have access to advice on the selection and planting of trees.
